It has been said that if a couple is capable of making it through re-doing a house, they are capable of making it. Period. We have been looking for a house for over a year. Fortunately we found one. Unfortunately we closed last week which means while we have a beautiful Christmas tree in our condo, we also have boxes everywhere, not to mention the fact that we have way outgrown our condo anyway.
We are not personally painting our new home, but having it painted. But, we basically will be doing everything else including electrical, some of the plumbing, changing part of the structure, doing the yard work, etc. Freddy is quite amazing and can do any of the aforementioned. I, on the other hand, am quite capable in the area of giving support and helping with the design work. We work well as a team.
As this blog progresses so will you be able to learn with us the process of re-doing a house. First advice: Don't paint the week of Christmas!
There is nothing I like more than watching the progress of someone redoing a house. I added this to my favorites. For some reason Google won't let me follow anyone-it started this last week. If they ever get this glitch fixed I will be one of your followers.
ReplyDeleteThank you mississippi artist. I'm sorry you can't follow but copy and paste the URL and you should be able to keep up. Your comment came through to my email yesterday but just showed up on this page today. If you figure it out, let me know. There are a lot of other people having problems with the same thing.

ReplyDeleteWell, Christmas week is a time for resting and spending time with the family. The re-doing of the house can be done some other time, but Christmas comes only once in a year, and it would be a shame to miss out on all the fun, just because you wanted to redo the house. I hope you're doing well with the housing project! Please show us pictures when you're done!
